Next Of Kin Sought For Man Found Dead At PA Home: Coroner

An elderly North Whitehall man was found dead in his home, leaving authorities searching for any trace of his family.

William H. Chapin, 87, was found dead at his North Whitehall Township home on Friday, Oct. 18, at 1:17 p.m., the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office announced on Monday, Nov. 4. 

Chapin, who died of natural causes, had no next-of-kin identified at the time of his death.

The coroner’s office is now reaching out to the community in hopes of locating Chapin’s family members to assist with final arrangements.
